Abstract

The environmental effects began with discarding waste tires on earth, and the effects of metals in water are of great worry. The idea is to use a waste raw material to resolve distinct waste materials that are hazardous to human health and the ecosystem. In this paper, waste rubber tires are utilized for the elimination of lead ions from liquids. In the batch process, the effects of lead ion concentration, pH, contact time, and adsorbent dosage were examined, and the elimination of lead ions was optimized. The high lead ion removal efficiency was achieved at a pH of 7, a contact time of 90 minutes, lead concentrations of 10 ppm, and an adsorbent dosage of 2.5 g/100 ml. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
