Abstract

This study focuses on fabricating a novel sensor by combining zinc oxide and titanium oxide powders. Initially, the two powders are meticulously mixed using a resodyn mixer to form a homogeneous blend. The mixture is then subjected to a high-pressure compaction technique to create solid pellets. Subsequently it is heat treated in a controlled environment further enhances the material's properties. To optimize the sensor's performance, carbon black and polyvinyl butyral additives are incorporated to increase electrical conductivity and promote better particle bonding. The modified powder is then transformed into a paste by adding a suitable solvent for precise screen printing onto specially prepared electrodes. The fabricated sensors undergo comprehensive testing, including calibration tests in the presence of acetone and evaluation of response and recovery times to external stimuli. The findings from this study will contribute to the development of advanced sensors with improved sensitivity and accuracy, fostering progress in various fields, including environmental monitoring, healthcare, and automation.
