Abstract
- The article discusses a case study of a 73-year-old man with choreiform movements attributed to CADASIL type II, a rare hereditary cerebral arteriopathy. The patient exhibited involuntary facial grimacing, tongue persistence, and choreiform movements of the arms, trunk, and legs. Genetic analysis revealed a heterozygous HTRA1 variant, leading to the diagnosis of CADASIL type II. The article highlights the novel presentation of CADASIL type II and the importance of genetic analysis in diagnosing such conditions. [Extracted from the article]
