Methadone: Acute myocardial infarction : case report.

A 36-year-old man experienced an acute myocardial infarction (MI) while being treated with methadone for opioid use disorder. The man had a history of diabetes and was a smoker. He had symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, palpitations, syncope, and signs suggesting a cardiac cause. An EKG showed ST elevation and Q waves indicative of an MI, and a coronary angiogram revealed lesions in his right coronary artery.
