Amlodipine: Various toxicities : case report.

A 28-year-old man experienced severe toxic effects after intentionally overdosing on amlodipine, a medication prescribed to his mother. He presented to the emergency room with altered mental status, hypotension, hypothermia, and shock. Despite receiving fluids and vasopressors, his condition worsened, leading to vasoplegia and multi-organ dysfunction. He was treated with insulin and placed on venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Eventually, his symptoms improved, and he was discharged home.
