The main aspects of the use of automatic monitoring and control systems in order to increase the reliability of power lines are considered. The article highlights modern technologies and techniques that make it possible to quickly identify and prevent possible emergency situations on power transmission lines. The advantages of automated systems compared to traditional monitoring and control methods are discussed, and examples of research and practical applications of such systems are presented.
