Abstract

This article presents a case study of a 39-year-old man with ulcerative colitis and IgG4-related disease who experienced a relapse despite treatment with tacrolimus and 6-mercaptopurine. The patient was then treated with tofacitinib, a Janus-associated kinase inhibitor, which successfully maintained remission of both diseases while allowing for a reduction in glucocorticoid dose. The case suggests that Janus-associated kinase inhibitors may be a promising treatment option for complex cases of IgG4-related disease, particularly when there are concurrent conditions such as ulcerative colitis. Further research is needed in this area. [Extracted from the article]
