Abstract

Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN) is a well-circumscribed thick fibrotic pseudo capsule, composed of a variable combination of necrotic and solid cystic hemorrhagic areas that occur mainly in young women in the second and third decades of life. The etiology and pathogenesis of SPN are unknown, it is presumed to originate during early embryogenesis due to endocrine disorders, it also has nonspecific clinical presentations. Choice treatment is surgical resection, which is curative in most of the cases. There are key imaging findings that can help us suspect this pathology. Tomography is the more useful imaging study for the initial evaluation of these tumors. The main purpose is to highlight the most common radiological findings to make it easier to identify them and make an accurate diagnosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
