Abstract

The paper explores experiences in which helping professions and museum professions collaborate in teams, co-designing and co-leading educational experiences in museum settings. Through a review of previous research, the concept of co-leading—understood as a shared practice of all educational action—is examined. The paradigm shift in museum institutions is rooted in the educational role of cultural venues, which puts people at the center of cultural projects. Working together with the health and social welfare sectors is necessary to meet the needs of the audiences. A new common ground to measure oneself as an interdisciplinary team, serving vulnerabilities, arises when one is open to the encounter and exchange of professionalism and skills that are typically associated with various fields. Accounts of experiences conducted in Italian cultural institutions will be utilized to illustrate this. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
