Abstract
- This is an overview of recent findings on the structural changes observed upon heating, including crystallization processes in conventional metallic glasses, bulk metallic glasses, and their corresponding supercooled liquids. This paper encapsulates the various crystallization behaviors in metallic glasses by primary, eutectic, and polymorphous mechanisms, highlighting the complexity and diversity of the nucleation and growth mechanisms involved. Mechanically induced room-temperature crystallization is also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
