Abstract: Abstract: The temperature dependence of the specific heat of the itinerant 5f-electron antiferromagnet UIrGe was studied on a single crystal in magnetic fields up to 14T applied along the principal crystallographic directions. For fields along the c-axis, evolution of T N-related magnetic specific heat (magnetic entropy) anomaly is compared with the corresponding magnetization steps. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
