Abstract

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is very resistant to inter-symbol interference (ISI) due to the increased symbol length. However, inter-carrier interference (ICI) causes a drop in performance for mobile apps due to channel variances that occur throughout an OFDM signal. This issue gets more pressing with increasing mobile speeds, carrier frequencies, or OFDM symbol times. In this paper, the Stanford channel and the Extended typical urban channel are employed in MIMO OFDM to achieve the best possible BER and MSE performance. The findings reveal that when the number of receivers increases, MSE and BER both improve. It has been shown that the intercarrier interference matrix in OFDM systems is unitary regardless of the number of subcarriers or the magnitude of the frequency offset. It doesn't matter how big the frequency difference is, this holds. As a result, a newly disclosed precoding approach has been demonstrated to have promise for real-world applications.
