Abstract
- This study aims to determine the effect of material on heat distribution in the design of battery pack cases in the Garuda Kencana 2022 electric car. The type of research used is experimental research with the subject material used in battery pack cases on the Garuda Kencana 2022 electric car. It uses SolidWorks Flow Simulation software to determine the airflow that helps heat distribution from the battery to the battery pack case material. Three materials were tested: Aluminum, Magnesium, and Zinc. The data analysis technique used to process the test data is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate the distribution of heat in the material, with the presence of airflow that helps heat distribution. The material that can experience the best heat distribution is Aluminum, with a maximum temperature of 49.69°C at a battery temperature of 60°C [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
