Abstract

Tatiana Erukhimova, an Instructional Professor at Texas A&M University, has been awarded the 2024 David Halliday and Robert Resnick Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Physics Teaching. Erukhimova is known for her approach to teaching, which focuses on creating a strong sense of community and personal connection with her students. She uses innovative and research-backed pedagogy, including interactive lectures, problem-solving, peer instruction, and experimental demonstrations. Erukhimova has received numerous awards for her teaching and has also mentored graduate students pursuing instructional faculty positions. Additionally, she has created outreach programs that provide experiential learning opportunities for students beyond the classroom. Chandralekha Singh, a Distinguished Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, has been awarded the 2024 John David Jackson Excellence in Graduate Physics Education Award.
