Abstract

The article discusses the importance of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in dermatology. It highlights the need for PROMs that capture the patient's experience and self-report of health, rather than solely relying on biomedically defined outcome measures. The article introduces the Patient-Reported Impact of Dermatological Diseases (PRIDD) as a new PROM that has been developed using high-standard methodology and follows the approach outlined by the COSMIN group. The PRIDD questionnaire consists of 16 questions that assess different domains of impact, and it has the potential to be a valuable tool for measuring the impact of dermatological conditions on patients in both research and practice.
