Abstract

This paper reviews the structural characteristics, application fields, and potential impacts on the environment and health of naphthalene-based PAHs. It provides a detailed analysis of non-catalytic thermal condensation, pressure-induced eondensation, and various catalytic condensation methods, especially the catalytic mechanisms of AlC13, HF/BF3, transition metals, and solid superacids SO4²/MxOy, revealing their condensation reaction mechanisms, advantages, and limitations. Finally, the unresolved issues and challenges in the field of naphthalene-based PAH eondensation are proposed, providing an in-depth reference for promoting scientific research and technological development in related fields.
