Abstract

The measurement of antisocial and criminal behaviors is among the most central methodological issues in forensic psychology and criminology. The main objective of this article is to examine the psychometric properties of the Antisociality-Criminality Scale (ACS) in a Portuguese sample (N=242; M=30.19 years; DP=12.78 years). The results of the confirmatory factor analysis indicated the presence of a latent one-factor structure with a satisfactory fit. Adequate psychometric properties were demonstrated, namely at the level of reliability and convergent, divergent, criterion, and group-known validity. Such results support the use of the ACS in forensic psychology and criminology settings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
