Several government officials in Guinea-Bissau have resigned following a loss of confidence in President Umaro Sissoco Embalo by their party, the Assembly of the People United-Democratic Party of Guinea-Bissau (APU-PDGB). The APU-PDGB has accused Embalo of attempting to establish a dictatorship and has demanded that he call a presidential election before the end of 2024.
