Abstract

The present article aims to analyze the identity reconfiguration in migratory processes from interdisciplinary theoretical perspectives and how significant, representative, and symbolic transformations are visible. The nature is descriptive-analytical, whose source of information derives from bibliographic reviews, the state of the art of scientific research, and theoretical developments of the subject: a) the notion of identity as a dynamic, multiple, and multidimensional axis; b) theoretical perspectives and trends on identities in migrants; and c) migrations as an element that reconfigures identities, accounting for the experiential, differential dimensions: past, present, and future. The epistemological findings show that migrants configure their synthetic structure (time and space), based on the reasoning of their realities and experiences. A political exercise that generates subjective, individual/collective reorganizations. Understanding that these processes should not be reduced to figures, geostrategic problems, or Western and ethnocentric perspectives. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
