Abstract
- This article offers a detailed and personal examination of the life of John F. Kennedy Jr., with a focus on his tumultuous marriage, attraction to risk, and the challenges he faced before his tragic death 25 years ago. It delves into his affinity for taking risks and explores the potential connection to the trauma of his father's death. The article also covers his upbringing, education, relationships, and his love for flying. Through interviews with his friends and loved ones, the article provides valuable insights into the man behind the public image. Additionally, it provides a firsthand account of the events leading up to the plane crash that claimed the lives of John, his wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, and her sister Lauren Bessette. The author, RoseMarie Terenzio, recounts the panic and shock that followed the disappearance of John's plane, as well as the subsequent investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board. The text also includes emotional narratives about the scattering of the ashes at sea and reflections on John's life and the profound loss experienced by those close to him.
