Abstract

Milliøns, an architecture firm based in Los Angeles, was given the task of redesigning the café at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York. The unique requirement for the winning proposal was to incorporate 4,000 ceramic works from the collection of Louise Rosenfield, which patrons would use while dining. Milliøns, known for their research-based approach, created prismatic glass volumes for the atrium that also function as display cases. They also updated the office space, research library, and collection storage, and designed custom tables for the café that allow for different dining experiences. The project was a breakthrough moment for Milliøns, who have other notable projects in progress. [Extracted from the article]
