Abstract

Three-dimensional electron tomography was employed to carry out a thorough and quantitative analysis of the porosity in biomass tobacco and its resulting carbon materials. The findings suggest that the porosity features are largely inherited from the biomass to its resulting carbon materials, and that mesoporosity could be further increased by altering the pyrolysis temperature.
