Abstract
- The article reports on the decision of Japan to scrap all regulations requiring the use of floppy disks for administrative purposes. It informs about the replacement of floppy disks in the accounting department in the southern town of Tsuwano. It shows some Japanese sectors outside of the government that are not yet ready to let go of floppy discs including the traditional textile industry in Kyoto and Higo Bank on the island of Kyushu.
