Abstract

Recent developments in the field of vaccines are showing promise in treating non-infectious diseases associated with aging. Vaccines, traditionally used for infectious diseases, are now being explored as a potential solution for age-related conditions such as Alzheimer's, cancer, and hypertension. Vaccines for cancer have shown moderate success, with ongoing trials targeting specific proteins associated with the disease. Vaccines for Alzheimer's are also in development, aiming to stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies against beta-amyloid and tau proteins. Additionally, vaccines targeting senescent cells, which contribute to various age-related diseases, are being explored. While progress is being made, further advancements and clinical trials are necessary. [Extracted from the article]
