Abstract
- This article explores the academic debate surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, focusing on the aftermath of recent attacks and the war in Gaza. The author emphasizes the importance of nuanced analysis and understanding power dynamics. The concept of settler colonialism is discussed, suggesting that recognizing its applicability to Israel may aid in finding a long-term solution. The controversial slogan "From the River to the Sea" is examined, and a reevaluation of the current status quo is called for. The article also highlights the significance of democratization and providing hope for both Palestinians and Israelis. The failure of Zionism in protecting Jews from antisemitism is discussed, and the author proposes moving beyond Zionism towards an ideology of Israelism for peaceful coexistence. A bibliography of additional sources is provided for further research. [Extracted from the article]
