Abstract

This article discusses the potential impact of burning fountain candles indoors on indoor air quality. While burning candles and other similar products may create a sense of joy and celebration, they can also release smoke and particulate matter that can remain in the indoor air. The study aimed to characterize the concentration of particulate matter produced when burning fountain candles. The results showed that the majority of the particulate matter released was in sizes that are harmful to human health. The concentration of particles varied depending on the distance from the emission source. [Extracted from the article]
