This research article aims to illustrate the methodology used to determine the payment capacity of the owners of residential properties that will be impacted by urban projects located in the area of study or influence of the Longitudinal Occidental and Avenida 34 projects. The research was supported by a literature review exercise, analysis of regulations, the adoption of the methodology for calculating the payment capacity, and the development of a primary data collection instrument. The main results will be presented on topics such as income, expenses, payment capacity, and institutional trust. A section will be dedicated to describing the methodology supported by information and communication technologies, seeking to democratize access to it.
