Abstract

This work examines the challenges of the learner in changing situations dominated by complexity. The change that characterizes our time has called into question both the way of being of work organizations as well as that of the training institutions called to overcome the educational paradigms of the twentieth century to promote new skills throughout life. All this leads to rethinking learning and development in organizations by updating emerging possibilities that are (compared to the past) linked to contexts of interdependence, speed and complexity. These three key forces of current society determine a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) environment which requires a necessary reversal of governance models from top down to bottom up decentralized models.
