Abstract

This article is a systematic review of studies that explore the use of game-based learning (GBL) in dermatology education. The review found that GBL can be an effective approach to teaching dermatology, with positive attitudes and favorable learning outcomes reported. However, the study quality of the reviewed articles was generally low, and there is a need for high-quality studies with objective outcomes. The authors suggest that GBL could play an important role in future dermatology training, but more research is needed to support its effectiveness. The study was funded by the Copenhagen Capital Region Postdoctorate Research Fund and the authors declare no conflicts of interest. [Extracted from the article]
