Abstract
- Zeeman splittings and g-factors in single self-assembled In(Ga)As quantum dots are investigated by magneto-photoluminescence spectroscopy and an eight-band effective mass calculation where the influence of strain and the Zeeman effect are included. The exciton g-factors evaluated by single-dot spectroscopy agree well with the calculated values. The calculation reproduces the composition dependence of the g-factors and the variation of the g-factors due to thermal annealing of the dots. The results demonstrate the importance of strain and its profile on the g-factors. This should provide insights to control the g-factors in pyramidal self-assembled dots. © 2005 American Institute of Physics [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
