Abstract
- The article focuses on ischiofemoral impingement syndrome as an overlooked cause of gluteal pain in a marathon runner initially diagnosed with proximal hamstring tendinopathy. Topics include the diagnostic challenges posed by concurrent conditions, such as dynamic ultrasound imaging revealing quadratus femoris muscle edema, and the successful management with ultrasound-guided steroid injection leading to significant pain reduction and return to competitive running.
