Abstract
- This paper aims at studying historical knowledge found in history questions in large scale assessments. Research empirical basis was constituted around the questions of history of the National High School Exam (ENEM) and the entrance exam to the State University of Ponta Grossa. Time frame of both tests analysis is from 2009 to 2015. A first result is on understanding that the entrance exam questions bring general and detailed characteristics that make the memorization competence predominate so that the candidate may perform well. ENEM questions, in turn, in addition to charging for content, also more often require the ability to interpret text, images and sources, composing a broader panorama of assessing the candidate's learning.
