Abstract

The article titled "Determination of the frequency of Ancylostoma spp. in canines and felines that attended the UDES Veterinary Clinic in Valledupar during the 2019b to 2023a semester" reports on a study conducted at the UDES Veterinary Clinic in Valledupar, Colombia, with the aim of determining the frequency of Ancylostoma spp. presence in dogs and cats that attended the clinic during the mentioned time period. 254 patients were selected and a coprological examination was performed on them. The results showed that 18% of the dog samples and 15% of the cat samples presented the presence of Ancylostoma spp. It is concluded that this presence may represent a zoonotic risk and it is recommended to strengthen prevention and control protocols.
