Abstract
- We discuss a proposal to make and teach scientific journalism based on the experience of AE - Agência Escola UFPR, created in 2018 to dialogue with the public about science beyond the walls of the university. In this article, the focus is on the training of fellows who participated in a course on scientific journalism with market professionals and academics from various institutions. Through theory and practice, the role of science journalism is brought into the context of public communication of science. Content analysis was adopted to study the results of the survey carried out with the participants and the course instructors. Collaboration and dialogue contributed to the development of the AE's work. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
