Abstract

The 2023 Eastern Pacific hurricane season was above average, with 17 named storms, 10 hurricanes, and 8 major hurricanes. Six tropical cyclones made landfall in Mexico, with Hurricane Otis being the strongest and costliest, causing fatalities and significant damage in Acapulco. Other notable hurricanes included Lidia, Hilary, Norma, and Max. The season also brought heavy rainfall and flooding to Hawaii. This document provides summaries of three specific hurricanes: Norma, Otis, and Pilar, detailing their impacts and effects on various regions. The information is sourced from the National Hurricane Center. [Extracted from the article]
