Abstract

The International Forum on the History and Future of Xinjiang, China was held in Kashgar to address the distorted and detached history of Xinjiang. Scholars from various countries discussed the region's past, present, and future, aiming to establish the truth and counter secessionist narratives. The forum highlighted the integration of ethnic groups in Xinjiang over centuries and the diverse religious beliefs of its residents, including Buddhism, Shamanism, and Zoroastrianism. Additionally, the forum emphasized the importance of Xinjiang in the ancient Silk Road and its role in China's Belt and Road Initiative, promoting trade, investment, and infrastructure development in the region.
