Abstract

This article discusses a case study of a 72-year-old woman with persistent cutaneous granulomatous lesions on her right arm. Despite numerous treatments, including antibiotics and corticosteroids, the lesions did not improve. The patient was eventually diagnosed with rubella virus (RuV)-associated cutaneous granulomatous disease, which is a rare condition that has been reported in immunocompetent patients. The article highlights the importance of considering RuV infection as a differential diagnosis in cases of cutaneous granulomas of unknown origin, especially when resistant to treatment. Treatment for this condition remains challenging, and further research is needed to develop effective therapies. [Extracted from the article]
