Abstract
- Perovskite oxides have become one of the most popular materials for electrolytic water anode catalysts because of their relatively high OER catalytic activity. In this paper, LaCuO3 perovskite oxide was synthesized by sol-gel method, and the catalytic activity of the electrocatalyst was improved by doping of Co and Ni elements. Through X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) characterization, as well as electrochemical tests and analyses, such as steady state polarisation (LSV), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (ETS), it was found that the overpotential of LaCu0.8Ni0.2O3 was as low as 285 mV at 1 0 niA/cm², and it possessed a better catalytic activity of OER. This is because the ionic radius of Ni element is greater than that of Cu element, which increases the reactive active site of the catalyst, thereby improving its catalytic activity.
