Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe job insecurity and its impact on job performance and anxiety among PT. PDC’s catering and accommodation workers at Pertamina SHU Zone 10. There were 153 respondents who participated voluntarily in this study and only 147 can be analyzed further. Variables were measured using Likert scale. Data of this study was analysed by Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) method. SmartPLS 3 is used for measurement model and structural model analysis while SPSS 25 is used for descriptive analysis. The result shows that catering and accommodation workers feel the threat of job insecurity but do not cause significant anxiety, as well as workers have good performances and high resilience. Analysed by PLS-SEM method shows that job insecurity affects to increasing anxiety but has no impact on job performance. Anxiety has an impact on job performance as well as mediates the effect of job insecurity to job performance. Resilience becomes a moderating factor that moderates the effect of job insecurity to anxiety. Company is advised to consistently provide assurance of job continuity for workers, provide operational and non-operational support facilities, review the latest risk of pandemic COVID-19, restore normal work schedules, and improve good communication with workers.
