Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) technology has brought a revolution in agriculture. With the implementation of IoT, intelligent monitoring of agriculture becomes feasible. Such as monitoring soil parameters. Soil is a critical part of agriculture that provides nutrients for plant growth. The article aims to create a soil parameter monitoring system using IoT. The monitoring system includes IoT based multi-sensor soil parameters (soil pH, soil moisture, temperature-humidity-light environmental) and uses the IoT-Thinger platform. The system works in real-time in acquiring soil parameter data. Then display real-time data in graphs on the IoT-Thinger platform. That makes it easier to monitor soil parameters directly and mobile. The system has been designed with serial communication between the microcontroller, Arduino Uno R3, and the ESP8266 NodeMCU V3. The multi-sensor is connected to the Arduino Uno V3. Then the ESP8266 is for the WiFi module. The sensors used are DIY More Soil Ph, Capacitive Moisture Soil, LDR+Resistor 5K1, and DHT 22. The WiFi network uses mobile phones to transfer data to the thinger platform to be displayed in a graph. IoT-Multiple Sensors-Thinger-based soil parameter monitoring system has been tested and works well. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
