Abstract

Phileo by LeSaffre has created an ecological balance for its yeast probiotic Actisaf® Sc 47 and found that the use of probiotics in dairy farming reduces the CO_2 footprint of milk by up to 5%. The results also show positive effects on land use and eutrophication. The yeast probiotic is considered a sustainable solution that increases the profitability of farms and reduces the environmental impact of dairy farming. The positive effects of Actisaf Sc47 on feed efficiency, performance, and the CO_2 footprint make it a promising solution for dairy farmers. [Extracted from the article]
