Abstract
- A retrospective study in China examined 16 cases of drug-induced liver injury (DILI) in patients treated with various medications. The patients experienced elevated levels of liver enzymes and other markers, leading to a diagnosis of DILI. The medications implicated in the cases included cetirizine, allopurinol, paracetamol, rifampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol, pyrazinamide, fluconazole, mecobalamin, betahistine, carbamazepine, levonorgestrel, ethinylestradiol, ranitidine, and thiamazole. In some cases, DILI progressed to acute liver failure. This study highlights the potential for liver injury associated with these medications and the importance of monitoring liver function during treatment. [Extracted from the article]
