Abstract

The development of socio-economic systems in modern times directly depends on how efficiently human capital is distributed and regulated. Population migration plays an important role in sociodemographic processes, as it allows optimizing the development of regional economic systems and increasing the efficiency of regional labor markets by redistributing human capital among various labor markets. At the same time, due to the development of globalization processes, migration has an increasingly significant impact on the demographic and social systems of the places of origin and arrival of migrants, as well as on the economic state of regional and local labor markets. The main driving factors for labor migration are economic and social, as a result of which labor migration is characterized by increased dynamics when directed to countries with a higher probability of employment in the official sector of the economy of the host country. Due to the strong differentiation of the level of socio-economic development of the regions of attraction, labor migrants are unevenly distributed across regional labor markets, which upsets the balance in the economic system. The need to develop and optimize programs and projects aimed at improving the efficiency of migration processes increases the relevance of the study of labor migration processes. For sustainable development and economic growth of socio-economic systems, it is important that the number of migrants entering a region matches the labor resources required by the labor market. In line with the model's concept, potential migrants possess complete information about the disparities in living and working conditions between their home countries and the destinations, enabling the modeling of the decision-making process.
