Abstract

A 25-year-old woman with pheochromocytoma experienced a lack of efficacy during treatment with phentolamine and labetalol. She developed symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, sinus tachycardia, and a hypertensive emergency. The woman also developed takotsubo cardiomyopathy and severely reduced ejection fraction. She underwent treatment with alpha-blockers and calcium channel blockers, and eventually underwent adrenalectomy. Her condition improved with these interventions. [Extracted from the article]
