Abstract
- A 53-year-old man with refractory panniculitis and anti-MDA5 antibody-positive amyopathic dermatomyositis experienced lack of efficacy during treatment with prednisolone, dapsone, cyclophosphamide, tacrolimus, and an unspecified glucocorticoid. Despite receiving prednisolone, the patient developed ulceration, indicating lack of efficacy. Dapsone was discontinued due to liver injury, and the patient's respiratory condition worsened, ultimately resulting in death. Autopsy revealed diffuse alveolar damage and anti-MDA5 antibody-positive amyopathic dermatomyositis as causes of death. [Extracted from the article]
