Abstract
- The article examines the relationship between oral mucositis (OM) and the salivary microbiome in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) recipients, emphasizing the prevalence of OM and the need for further research. Topics discussed include the impact of conditioning protocols, microbial diversity variations over time, and the absence of a significant association between OM and oral microbiome alterations in HSCT patients.
