Abstract

The American Physiological Society Renal Section has awarded Gerardo Gamba, MD, the 2024 Carl Gottschalk Distinguished Lectureship. Dr. Gamba is a Professor of Medicine and head of the Molecular Physiology Unit at the Biomedical Research Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is a world leader in kidney physiology, with a focus on solute transport along the nephron. His research has led to significant advancements in understanding kidney function and the development of drugs used in clinical practice.
