Abstract

This article provides a historical account of Mexican American women's baseball teams in the Midwest during the 1930s and 1940s. It emphasizes the challenges faced by these teams due to racial barriers and discrimination against Mexican immigrants at the time. The article also highlights the positive impact of baseball on the community, as well as the support from parents who saw it as an opportunity for their daughters to develop skills and advocate for social causes.
