Abstract

Fe3O4 Nanospheres with good dispersibility were synthesized by hydrothermal method, and mesoporous silica (MSN) was coated on their outer layer. Chitosan (CS) and hyaluronic acid (HA) were further modified to form highly dispersed nanospheres Fe3O4@SiO2@MSN@CS@HA. The structure, morphology, particle size, and dispersibility of several nanospheres were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The outer layer content, specific surface area, and pore size were measured using a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and a specific surface area analyzer (BET). The performance of the Fenton reaction was measured using a UV visible spectroscopy analyzer and its reaction rate was calculated. The results indicate that nanospheres have good dispersibility and drug loading ability, and the divalent iron ions(Fe2+) they contain can further realize the potential of chemodynamic therapy (CDT) for tumors.
