Abstract
- Russian President Vladimir Putin recently visited China for his 23rd trip to the country, where he engaged in extensive discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The visit marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, and the two leaders signed a joint statement on deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership. They emphasized the importance of leveraging complementary advantages to enhance strategic cooperation and promoting the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence. China and Russia oppose unilateralism and are strengthening their cooperation within multilateral frameworks. The two countries aim to safeguard the interests of developing countries, advocate for multipolarization, and foster a new paradigm of mutual benefit. They also reached a broad consensus on deepening bilateral cooperation and signed several cooperation documents in various areas. China has been Russia's largest trading partner for 14 consecutive years, and bilateral economic ties have been growing steadily. The relationship between China and Russia is seen as a prime example of a new form of international relations and good-neighborly relations between major countries. Both countries are committed to building a high-quality partnership and leading the building of a community with a shared future for humanity. [Extracted from the article]
